Food coloring is usually used for baking, but can also be used for shisha. The great thing about it: You have a large selection of colors and food coloring is absolutely harmless. In addition, it does not change the taste of the shisha smoke, which means you still enjoy genuine tobacco enjoyment . But be careful: a few drops of food coloring are usually enough, so it's better to gradually add small amounts to the bowl water until the desired color intensity is achieved, and not to pour everything in at once. Alternatively, you could of course also use fruit juice, but since that also affects the taste, it should definitely go well with your type of tobacco .

Colorful smoke – is that even possible?

Yes, the colorful clouds of smoke that we are often presented with in pictures look great, but unfortunately they also have another characteristic: they are fake. Many people think that if the water in the shisha bowl is colorful, the smoke will also take on the color. But unfortunately that is far from the case. When the water evaporates, it does not release any color particles and therefore the smoke is just white as usual. Colorful shisha smoke is an impossibility and the pictures are usually edited or the smoke is illuminated with colorful light. In order to actually produce colored smoke, you would probably have to add extremely toxic chemical substances, which then aren't worth it. But if you're looking for a great effect or beautiful images, perhaps shining colorful light is just the right solution. One thing you have to admit: that also really makes a difference.
