The shisha diffuser - This is what it brings you

Der Shisha-Diffusor - Das bringt er dir

A shisha diffuser is not necessarily a standard accessory for a shisha, but it is definitely nice to have. But what exactly is that? The approximately 3cm large component ensures that your shisha bubbles more quietly. So if you are bothered by the loud bubbling of your shisha at least at certain moments, purchasing this small component is worth considering.

This is how the shisha diffuser works

The diffuser originally comes from mechanical engineering, where it is intended to slow down gas and liquid flows. This property has also been used for the water pipe. With the shisha, the diffuser is either attached to the shisha with a screw thread or it is already integrated into the dip tube. Especially in shishas with smaller bowls, the diffuser is usually already present in the dip tube to prevent the water from the bowl from getting into the hose when smoking. The shisha diffuser calms the bowl water by reducing the water tension. This happens through the small holes that the component has. They ensure that the flow of water is slowed down and only small air bubbles are formed. This also means that the noise level of the shisha is much lower.

The shisha diffuser has its advantages and disadvantages

So if you want to have a relaxing evening and watch a film, listen to your music without bubbling or the noise of the shisha disturbs you during a quiet conversation, a diffuser can quickly provide relief. The small component is affordable and can be easily attached to most shishas. One disadvantage, however, is that a diffuser slows down the smoke somewhat and is therefore often no longer as dense. Whether you want to use a shisha diffuser or not is entirely individual. Nevertheless, in some situations it certainly can't do any harm.
